Leslie grew up in Scottsdale, AZ and attended Saguaro High School. She then went to the University of Arizona where she received a B.A. in Journalism and Sociology in 2000.

Leslie’s first job was when she became the Director of Admissions for the University of Arizona’s Southern California Office. She joined a consortium of colleges from all over the country and learned a great deal about public and private schools, selectivity, and culture.

She eventually moved back to Phoenix, where she became the Director of the Phoenix Office of Admissions for the University of Arizona. She worked closely with students and families, as well as high school counselors. She also worked extensively with both the College of Engineering and the Honors College.

Leslie went back to school to earn a Masters in Counseling at Arizona State University to pursue her dream of being a School Counselor. She worked at Chaparral High School for 12 years and recently left to become a private college counselor.

During her time at Chaparral, she helped her students with academic planning, college admissions, and social emotional challenges. She partnered with countless students with life and higher educational goals and has worked with many college representatives. Leslie was named the YALE Educator of the Year for 2021-2022 and has also been recognized as Chaparral’s Staff Member of the Year.
